Most AI tools ask you to hand over the one thing you cannot hand over.
Every public AI service works the same way: your text is uploaded to someone else's computer, processed there, and the answer is sent back. For a marketing brief that is fine. For a privileged advice note, a disclosure bundle or a client's deal room, it raises questions that a partner should not have to answer: who else can read this, where is it stored, and under which country's law?
Client outside-counsel guidelines are already catching up. A growing number forbid the use of third-party AI on client material outright. The result is that fee earners either work without the tools, or use them quietly. Neither is a policy.
The firm's duty of confidentiality does not have an exception for convenient software.
The question we are asked first in every conversation with a law firm.A private AI system that sits inside the firm, not a subscription to somebody else's.
The unit is a compact, quiet server built around professional NVIDIA processors. It runs today's leading open AI models entirely on its own, with no connection to any outside service required. Your document management system talks to it across your internal network, the same way it talks to your file server.
Because the firm owns the hardware and holds the keys, there is no data processor to audit, no international transfer to justify and no vendor who could be compelled to disclose. The material stays exactly where it is today: with you.
Disclosure and document review
First-pass relevance and privilege review across a bundle, with every judgement traceable back to the page it came from.
Contract analysis and comparison
Extract clauses, flag departures from your standard positions, and compare drafts across a whole portfolio in one pass.
Due diligence data rooms
Read thousands of documents in an afternoon, answer the checklist, and surface the items that need a lawyer's eye.
Precedent and know-how search
Ask questions of the firm's own precedents, opinions and past matters in plain English, and get answers with citations to your files.
Drafting and summarising
First drafts, chronologies, bundle summaries and attendance notes, produced from the matter file without it leaving the matter.
Redaction and information governance
Find personal data, privileged passages and client identifiers across large sets before anything is produced or shared.
Nothing crosses the perimeter. That is the whole design.
The unit is installed inside the firm's network and can operate with its internet connection switched off entirely. Fee earners use it from their existing desktops. Administrative access is held by the firm, and PureTensor has no standing connection to the machine unless you choose to grant one for support.
Optional outbound connection for software updates only, on the firm's schedule and with the firm's approval. It can stay closed.
The hardware is the firm's asset. It appears on your register, sits in your building and is covered by your existing physical security.
Administrator credentials are set by the firm at handover. Support access, if wanted, is granted per session and logged.
Every query and every document the system reads is recorded locally, so the firm can evidence exactly what was processed and by whom.
Own it and run it yourselves, or own it and let us look after it.
Either way the unit is yours. The difference is who carries the day-to-day.
Serious hardware, in a box that fits where your servers already are.
Indicative configuration. Final sizing follows a short conversation about volumes and the number of concurrent users.

From a conversation to a working system in weeks, not quarters.
Conversation
A practice head, the GC or risk partner, and IT. We leave with your volumes, your document types, and what risk and IT require. Nothing is decided on the day.
Specification and proposal
You send us your specifications. We come back with a proposal covering the uses, the build and the cost. A draft for you to mark up, not a form to sign. If you want to see it working first, a trial run can be arranged on PureTensor equipment, using sample documents rather than live matters.
The firm decides
Your analysis, your procurement, your risk process. We revise until the proposal is right. Nothing is ordered until you say so.
Install and connect
Sized for your volumes, installed in your comms room, connected to your document system.
Handover or handhold
We train your nominated operator on your own live matters, in the way the firm will go on using it. Or we run it for you. Either way the keys are yours.
